Bienvenidos a la Clase de Espanol!
My name is Esmeralda Torres and this is my 16th year of teaching at City Academy. I have taught Spanish from Early childhood through 6th grade for 15 years. I am so excited to teach Spanish to the Early childhood students this year. Working with children has always been my passion which is what lead me into the teaching world. I have a bachelor degree in Early childhood and a master degree in learning disabilities. I am originally from Lima, Peru and I moved to the United States 20 years ago. I am very lucky to be able to teach Spanish and my culture to students. I am sure that your child will have a fun and rewarding experience in our Spanish class. I am looking forward to working with your child this upcoming school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to know more about the curriculum. My email address is etorres@cityacademyschool.
Thank you for your support!

Inside the Classroom: Early Childhood
The Early childhood students are learning many songs including “Te Gustan Los Milkshakes De Lasaña?” “Te Gusta El Pudín De Pepinillo?” and “Te Gusta El Yogur De Espagueti.” Practicing songs develops both the student’s listening and speaking skills.
