evelyn“Junior Kindergarten students will develop their understanding of math skills through exploring with their hands, manipulating materials, and using their senses to take in information. We will deal directly with shapes, patterns and spatial relationships students experience within their environment.”

Inside the Classroom

Week four already!  We have continued completing activities that allow students  to practice correctly preparing their workspaces, properly using materials, and working cooperatively with peers. We have also jumped into the workshop model and switch stations during math class. We’ve been working a lot with shapes, counting to 10, and practicing fine motor skills.

Please check your child’s seesaw page for pictures and videos of them busy in math class! If you have not yet setup your account, please email me and I will send you the information.

Below, I have listed some math related apps and websites for your child to use as extra practice at home. There are a lot of great options out there to practice basic math skills that also allow the students to have fun! Remember, we want them to enjoy working with numbers! 🙂 Please contact me with any questions or if you are currently using any great number apps/websites that I should add to our list.
