“I aspire to lay a proper foundation for students to become successful young adults, who know how to take risks, solve complex problems, work and collaborate with others, and think critically about the world around them.”

Ever since his first visit to City Academy as a graduate student almost a decade ago, Keith has wanted to pursue a career here.  Before coming to City Academy, he worked as an investigator at the Center for Inquiry in Science Teaching & Learning at Washington University in St. Louis.  He was a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand for two years working as a teacher collaborator and community facilitator.  After returning to the States, he taught Grades 2 & 3 in the Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District for six years.  Keith is excited and grateful to be a part of the City Academy community!

Keith continues to hone his craft and pursue such topics as educational equity, social justice, instructional rounds, and Responsive Classroom techniques.  He loves reading, hiking, kayaking, studying art, and being with his dog.
