Jen Glassmeyer has an M. Ed in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a background in program development, school, and mental health counseling. Jen works as a Crisis Counselor in Madison County Illinois on the weekends where she completes assessments and arranges hospitalization for children & adults experiencing a mental health crisis. She also has experience working in the community mental health setting, along with schools in St. Louis City & Illinois. Jen attributes much of her ability to be flexible and think on her feet to her years of working in the service industry.
Before accepting the Alumni Support & Community Relations Coordinator at City Academy, Jen’s focus was on navigating the St. Louis job market and building relationships with local employers to allow for the further development of a community that embraces a diverse employee base. These relationships allowed for hundreds of people on the Autism Spectrum to gain valuable employment and help to change lives through these opportunities.
Jen has a 13 yr old son that graduated from City Academy in 2017 and was so honored to be given the opportunity to work in an educational environment that is unlike any other in St. Louis. It is like she is coming home, as so much time has been spent here over the years. Jen spends free time with her son, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
