“I believe every student is a unique being with qualities and attitudes that makes them special and important. As a teacher, I believe it is my duty to offer my students a safe and trustworthy space where each of them can feel free to express themselves, but most importantly, feel loved and respected.”
Hi! My name is Elizabeth Rivera and I am going to be the new Spanish teacher for the upper levels 3-6. I am from Colombia where I worked for three years as a Math teacher in a bilingual school. Four years ago I came to the United States to learn English, but I decided to stay and get my master’s degree in Educational Psychology from UMSL. Before City Academy, I worked for two years as the Spanish teacher at Assumption School from K through 8. One of my favorites things to do is cooking Colombian food and spending time with my family.
