City Academy has expanded our footprint to include a new Early Childhood Center. This state-of-the-art facility allows us to provide exceptional education to children ages three through second grade.
Language Arts Classrooms
The Early Childhood Center currently features language arts classrooms for junior kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. In 2019-2020, the Center will also have three-year-old class.
Berges STEAM Studio
The Berges STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) studio in the Early Childhood Center allows for collaboration among faculty. Early Childhood science, math, and foreign language teachers utilize the Berges STEAM studio in providing high-quality academics to children.
The Center provides a large multi-purpose space – Steward Hall – for 150 people. This space is used for music and movement, small classroom performances, and allows for collaboration among teachers and students.
The addition of our Early Childhood facility has also afforded us to grow our student body from 140 to 202 students. Generous financial support from the community has allowed for the growth in our student body, as well as several new Early Childhood faculty positions and an Early Childhood Director.
The Campaign for City Academy
The Campaign for City Academy has allowed us to add our new Early Childhood Center and provide excellent and affordable education to more children and their families. Through the community’s investment in North St. Louis, we are advancing knowledge and transforming more lives through exceptional education.
All students qualify for and receive financial assistance to attend City Academy. The St. Louis community makes scholarships possible.
