faculty laura reycraft“I want to share my love of music with City Academy students because it has been a positive force in my life. I enjoy teaching and playing the pieces that I learned as a child with the students. Every child can play the violin when given the opportunity.”

City Academy students take group violin lessons from Laura Reycraft twice a week. Laura started her teaching career as a private teacher and freelance musician in both Washington, D.C. and St. Louis. She is currently one of the Artistic Directors of Chamber Project Saint Louis and a frequent substitute with the Saint Louis Symphony. Laura is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, Chamber Music America, and the American Federation of Musicians, Local 2-197.
