This is Mandy’s fifth year teaching physical education and health at City Academy. Before joining City Academy, she taught physical education at a charter school in South City. Mandy worked in youth ministry for 9 years and developed biking, walking, and fitness programs in St. Louis area elementary schools for two years. Mandy developed a St. Louis Safe Routes to School program, where she worked with more than twenty schools and reached close to five thousand students and one thousand parents/volunteers. Mandy graduated from the University of Nebraska with degrees in physical education and elementary education. Mandy serves as City Academy’s Coordinator for Jump Rope 4 Heart, Girls on the Run, and the Read, Right, and Run program.
