Physical Fitness & Health Education


The physical education program stresses health education as well as physical fitness. From Junior Kindergarten through Sixth Grade, students learn that a healthy lifestyle developed through daily exercise and good nutrition and self-care habits are key to developing and maintaining a healthy body and mind.

In the spring term of physical education, all students participate in a swimming program supported by the American Red Cross and held at the Mathews-Dickey Boys’ and Girls’ Club indoor pool.
