Ann is excited about her first year teaching early childhood language arts at City Academy! She is particularly passionate about childhood literacy as it is key to creating lifelong learners. Prior to joining City Academy, Ann taught Kindergarten at The International School in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and later spent two years as the Director at an early childhood center. In addition, she was a long-term substitute for a second grade classroom at Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill School. Ann received her undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where she was also the captain of the varsity field hockey team. She earned her master’s degree in teaching from Webster University with a focus on early childhood and elementary education. Ann was married, and enjoys reading, traveling, running, and golfing in her free time.
