Marybeth joined City Academy in 2007 as a first grade teacher, but is now our third grade humanities teacher. Before coming to City Academy, Marybeth was a kindergarten through fifth grade intern at Meramec Elementary, as well as the third and fourth grade literacy teacher in the summer. Before becoming a part of the Clayton team, Marybeth taught English in Maebashi, Japan, to students of all ages. Marybeth holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and an elementary teaching certificate from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Marybeth enjoys traveling, reading, knitting, and cooking—but most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their new little one, Oliver.
