City Academy’s Extended Day Enrichment Program is a significant opportunity to improve learning for our students. The programs are very engaging, comprehensive and done in partnership with families and other key stake holders in the community. It is open to students in grades junior kindergarten through sixth grade Monday through Friday, 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Our programs are staffed by trained, caring individuals whose primary concern is the welfare and development of children.

The Extended Day Program provides high quality programs with a structured curriculum that stresses socialization, education, and recreation. In addition, our curriculum provides homework support and snacks every day. We welcome parents and family to visit us anytime.

In order for a child to attend the extended day program free of charge, he or she must be enrolled and fully participate in one or more special classes and/or the Homework Club each quarter. Children who are not enrolled in a class or Homework Club will be charged a fee to attend the After School Child Care, which will be different than the Extended Day Enrichment Program.

Each family will receive an Extended Day Enrollment Form at the beginning of the quarter. (The first will be given to you in August at Back to School Night.) Families interested in receiving Extended Day services free of charge, will register their child for one or more classes for that quarter, and will sign a form stating that the child will attend class on a regular basis.

Extended Day has become a very popular and beneficial part of the City Academy programming. We believe that it is important for children to be exposed to a variety of activities by taking advantage of the opportunities provided to them.
