Martha has been with City Academy since April of 2001 as a reading tutor, first grade teacher, and currently as the librarian. Martha received her master’s degree in reading education from Fontbonne University and her undergraduate degree from St. Louis University. Before becoming a part of the City Academy team, Martha taught kindergarten in the Archdiocese of St. Louis school of Mary Queen of Peace, and started and operated a summer day camp program for five- to seven-year-old children. She and her husband John are natives of St. Louis, raising their four children here. Martha enjoys reading, cooking, sewing, and gardening.
